General Information:
Central 301 is seeking applicants for a full-time health assistant to support the needs across several school buildings beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. The health assistant will be assigned to different school buildings on a rotational basis throughout the week. Applicants must possess a valid License Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, registered with the State of Illinois. The general responsibilities for this position include: provide supported nursing services, first aid, illness, and care to students and staff; participate in maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with mandates including immunizations, physical examinations, and related activities; maintain confidentiality by communicating student information to appropriate people, maintain communication with the building nurse, and update a daily log on school management system student/staff visits and documentation on individual health needs. Current CPR and first aid certification required. Certification in IDPH vision/hearing screenings preferred, as well as experience in the school setting.
