Parking- Lot between VanBuren and Jackson.

Time – 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 The following objectives of the workshop are:

• Demonstration of an understanding of asthma, treatments, and prevention.
• Identification of asthma triggers and irritants initiating asthma episodes.
• Recognition of the needs and concerns of students who have asthma.
• Identification of methods to promote optimal management of the school environment and Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools to reduce asthma triggers and asthma episodes.
• Indicate stakeholders and team members to promote Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools measures in school.
• Description of the role of the school nurse in improving Indoor Air Quality.

 Sample goals and accommodations will also be included in the presentation. Nurses will receive 3.4 Continuing Nursing Education hours and 3 CPDUs.
