Recommendation from Illinois Association of School Nurses Regarding H1N1 Influenza
The Illinois Association of School Nurses recognizes the school nurse as the front line public health expert in the school setting. As school districts develop policies and procedures regarding pandemic influenza such as H1N1, the certified school nurse plays a vital role in this process, and serves as the liaison between the school district and all community health agencies. IASN supports recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and local health departments. NASN and the CDC send out information frequently and updates will be sent via the IASN list serve.
The link to CDC is on the IASN web page under links.
